There is a story in Chinese mythology, of a Great Race. of anumails The myth goes onto say that the Jade Emperor declared the order of zodiac signs based on their arrival. The Ox is ranked second among Chinese zodiac signs because it helped the rat but was later tricked by it. Although the Ox arrived first, the rat jumped ahead and was declared first, tricking the Ox.
